Establish the State of Play

A critical part of any high impact strategy creation is being able to first understand the organisation’s current context. This enables us to ascertain the alignment of views and engagement towards the creation of a shared future vision. Any potential road-blocks to achieving the desired outcomes are unearthed during this process. Revealing these early on enables us to adapt key strategic responses to overcome any potential risks to execution later on.

Define

Workshop 1: Envisage the Future

Utilising the practice of strategic foresight through scenario planning and creative visualisation, clients learn be able to unlock their creative minds and generate alternate inspired pathways to better navigate their business landscapes. A reframed values, vision and purpose is also generated support the future vision.

Develop

Workshop 2: Design & Build

Utilising design-thinking build on outputs from our Discovery and Define phases to bring our customers into the heart of our strategy and build a customer-driven blueprint for future growth and bring our future-spective vision to life. We map out how our client organisations embody their purpose through the work it does and the products, services, and experiences it puts out in the world.

At the end of the day our clients will have developed a clear and agreed ‘customer experience map’ to surface key opportunities the new strategy should focus and deliver on. They will have identified the key challenges/problems they must overcome/solve to help them realise the vision. They will have built an understanding of what it means to create real value, why they need to put their customers at the heart of everything they do and; how to test their strategies by designing real-life, low-risk experiments for maximum return.

Workshop 3 (half-day): Validate the Way Forward

How do we ensure we’re on the right track? No plan is a definite precursor of success, however we can significantly improve our chances by doing a market test of the outputs of our work so far. Plans made in isolation often lead to unexpected or unwanted results. In this half-day validation session we validate the prototypes from Day 2 that have been ‘taken to the streets’! We collaborate with our clients to arrange to test the outputs so far with a small number of customers to better understand the potential and appetite for the new strategic initiative ideas. This will then be distilled and fed back into the final workshop. Importantly, this step helps focus on the most promising areas of opportunity to feed into the final strategy and implementation plan.

Deliver

Workshop 4: Chart the Course (Deliver)

This final workshop is about charting the course for change. Our clients will focus on incorporating a strong CVP (customer value proposition) into the finalised strategy.
